Using HuskiMail in your Web Browser

Need to know how to quickly check your HuskiMail from anywhere, online? You can check your mail from HuskiMail by going to https://mailbox.huskimail.com and entering the email address and password you’ll set up in your administration area.     For checking from email apps and mobile devices, you’ll receive instructions on-screen when you setup your mail in your email admin.

Using HuskiMail in Your Favorite Email Application On Your Phone or Computer

Want to check your email on another device/app? When asked for your settings for your mailbox use the following settings where applicable… Username The username of the email account you want to check (this is different than your mailadmin username!) This is followed by “@” and your domain ( {yourdomain.com} ) Example for the username “Henry” : henry@myhuskimailbox.com (just an example, though!) Password (use the same one no matter where you are asked) Password you set for that email account (not your mailadmin password!) Inbound Mail Server (SMTP) mail.{yourdomain.com} Outbound Mail Server mail.{yourdomain.com} Enable SSL/TLS? Yes/Enable   If you have trouble after your first try, we’ve found customers are able to succeed if they remove the mail account from their device, and then try adding it again. Something wrong? Before contacting support, if you’re following these instructions and things aren’t working right, you can use these settings (below) for inbound and outbound server, instead… Inbound: IMAP Username: your email address Password: your password Host/IMAP: safari.mxrouting.net Secure?  YES / TLS / SSL Port: 143 Authenticaton Type: Password Outbound: SMTP Username: your email address Password: your password Host/SMTP: safari.mxrouting.net Secure?  YES / TLS / SSL Port: 587 Authenticaton Type: Password

Troubleshooting HuskiMail

I Cannot Send/Receive Mail Check your DNS settings for the domain that is having trouble. Make sure there are no MX records for the domain (subdomains are fine) except those that are required by HuskiMail.   I Can’t Create Any New Email Accounts You may have run out of email slots. You can upgrade your plan to add more. If you are sure you haven’t used all your email slots, there may be an issue with how the account was set up. Let us know and we can investigate.   I Can’t Get HuskiMail to Work on my Phone or Favorite App You may have entered the email server information incorrectly on your device. Try removing the account entirely, then adding the information again, completely and exactly as described in your instruction email.

Using HuskiMail to send mail for your website (SMTP)

Why would I use HuskiMail on my website? If you have HuskiMail you can use it to send mail as your website instead of relying on the webserver. This means that people will far more likely receive your order notifications and more… instead of them going to their spam or junk folder. HuskiMail is designed for deliverability in mind. How do I set up HuskiMail on my website? You’ll need a SMTP plugin. For this tutorial, we’ll use “WP Mail SMTP”. You can use whatever SMTP plugin you like, though! Step 1: Install and activate the WP Mail SMTP plugin. You’ll need to go to your plugins, then click Add New then search for “SMTP” in the plugin search box. Once you see the plugin click the Install button. Then click it again when it turns blue and says “Activate”. Step 2: Setup the SMTP options Once your plugin is active, you should see a screen like this: Click the “Let’s Get Started” button. Then select the “Other SMTP” button at the bottom. HuskiMail DNS Settings and SPF

Required DNS Settings for HuskiMail If you are using a domain that you did not purchase from us or is not currently pointing to our server via Name Server records, you will need to add the following DNS records to your domain, below. Not sure if your domain is pointed? Not sure what DNS means or how to change it? Let us know! We can help. Type Priority Host Target CNAME – mail.{yourdomain.com} safari.mxrouting.net CNAME – webmail.{yourdomain.com} safari.mxrouting.net MX 10 {yourdomain.com} safari.mxrouting.net MX 20 {yourdomain.com} safari-relay.mxrouting.net TXT* – {yourdomain.com} v=spf1 ip4:[domain IP address without brackets] include:mxlogin.com -all *This last part (TXT record row) of the table may be a little tricky.
