Installing WordPress from cPanel

To install WordPress on your hosting plan, you can either ask us to do it for you, or follow these EASY steps below.

1. Open your cPanel

2. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the control options and click the blue WordPress icon.

3. You’ll see this screen. Click “Install Now”

4a. Select the domain you’d like to have connected to your website. You can also put it in a URL that has a slash like mywebsite.com/myotherwebsite. This can be a little tricky but you are allowed to do it. Just don’t put a “/” in the Directory text box field.

4b. Fill out all the options. Don’t use “admin” as your username — It’s not safe! After making your username, you’ll notice that your cPanel has generated a safe password for you. Copy and paste it somewhere safe. You can always change it later.

5. When you are finished with all your settings (title, tagline, etc) click the “Install” button.

6. If everything you entered checks out, you’ll get this message.

7a. You can click the “Administrative URL” link to be logged into your site immediately without having to enter user and password (if your domain is already connected and pointed to us).

7b. Alternatively, you can go back to the WordPress installation overview screen and you’ll see your site listed and a person icon. If you click the person icon, it will have the same effect.

That’s it! Happy building!
