Overview #
Event duplication saves time when you are creating similar events. Instead of rebuilding everything from scratch, you can duplicate an existing event and then adjust the pieces that changed.
This is especially useful for recurring workshops, repeated classes, similar conferences, or event templates.
Where to Find It #
From the Huski Events admin list, use the duplicate action available for an event.
What Gets Copied #
The duplicator is built to copy the event post and relevant event settings. This can include event details such as tickets, schedule data, registration fields, tabs, speakers, related events, notifications, and other event metadata.
How to Duplicate an Event #
- Go to Huski Events.
- Find the event you want to copy.
- Use the duplicate action.
- Open the duplicated event.
- Change the title, date, location, ticket availability, notifications, and any outdated details.
- Review the public event page.
- Publish when ready.
Best Practices #
- Always review dates after duplicating.
- Check ticket availability and stock.
- Review notification timing.
- Update related events if they no longer apply.
- Preview before publishing.
Troubleshooting #
- The duplicate has old dates: Update the schedule box.
- Old notifications are still attached: Review the Notifications section.
- Ticket availability is wrong: Update available and expiration dates.
- Related events are outdated: Update the Related Events box.
That’s it, dawg!
