Overview #
The license key is used for private plugin updates. If the license key is missing, Huski Send may continue to work, but updates are disabled and WordPress may show a warning notice.
This key is only for update access. It is not the same as an email password, SMTP password, user password, or Google-style API key.
Where to Find It #
Go to Send Message > Settings and look for the License key field.
What the License Key Does #
- Connects the plugin to private update access.
- Allows update checks through the HostHuski update system.
- Removes the warning that updates are disabled once a key is saved.
How to Add the License Key #
- Copy your Huski Send license key.
- Go to Send Message > Settings.
- Paste the key into the License key field.
- Click Save Changes.
- Refresh the admin area and confirm the license notice is gone.
Best Practices #
- Keep the license key in a safe internal record.
- Do not share the key publicly.
- Check the key after moving or cloning a site.
- If updates are not appearing, confirm the key is saved before troubleshooting further.
Troubleshooting #
- The warning still appears: Make sure the license key was saved.
- The key has extra spaces: Remove spaces before or after the key and save again.
- Updates do not show: Confirm the key is correct and private update access is available.
- You do not know the key: Contact whoever manages the Huski Send license.
