Using Message History

Overview #

Message History gives administrators a read-only log of recently sent messages. It is not a full email marketing report, but it is useful when you need to confirm what was sent and get a quick preview of the message.

Huski Send keeps the most recent messages in history and trims the list so it does not grow forever.

Where to Find It #

Go to Send Message > Message History.

What History Shows #

  • Sent: The date and time the message was sent.
  • To: A short label showing the users or roles selected.
  • Message excerpt: The first part of the message, limited to a short preview.
  • Preview: A view button that expands the subject and message preview.

How to View a Past Message #

  1. Go to Send Message > Message History.
  2. Find the message in the table.
  3. Click VIEW.
  4. Review the subject and message preview.
  5. Click again to collapse the preview if needed.

What History Does Not Do #

Message History does not show open rates, click rates, delivery logs, bounce reports, or per-recipient inbox status. It is a simple admin record of recently sent messages.

Best Practices #

  • Use history to confirm what was sent recently.
  • Do not treat it as proof that every inbox received the email.
  • Keep separate records for important compliance or business-critical messages if needed.
  • If delivery matters, use a proper SMTP or transactional email service.

Troubleshooting #

  • No messages appear: No messages have been sent yet, or history has not been recorded.
  • A message is missing: The history list is limited to recent entries.
  • The preview looks different from the inbox: Email apps may render HTML differently.
  • A recipient says they did not receive it: Check email delivery, spam folders, and SMTP logs if available.
