The Excerpt field appears in the Article Details box when editing an article.
- Maximum length: 160 characters
- Shown on library cards below the title
- Shown in the library table view in the Excerpt column
Write a plain-language summary of what the employee will learn or download. Good excerpts answer: “What is this and why would I open it?”
Example: “Steps to reset your voicemail PIN and update your phone greeting.”
If you leave the excerpt blank, the library still works — cards simply show the title, categories, and date.
